The Complete Haulover Beach Parking Guide
The single most asked question about Haulover, answered once and for all. Where to park, what it costs, when the lot fills, and every backup plan.
Which Lot to Use for the Clothing-Optional Section
Haulover Beach Park sits at 10800 Collins Ave, Bal Harbour, FL 33154. The clothing-optional section is the northern 0.4-mile stretch of the beach, so you want the northernmost parking lot inside the park. Park as far north as you can and you'll be steps from the dedicated beach access points, which are clearly marked with signs.
Enter the park from Collins Ave (A1A). There's an attendant booth or pay station at the entrance. Bring a card; it's the easiest way to pay.
The Overflow Lot and the Tunnel
When the main beachside lot fills, there's overflow parking across Collins Ave, connected to the beach by an underpass tunnel so you never have to cross six lanes of A1A traffic on foot. It adds a few minutes of walking, and on a packed Saturday it's the difference between a beach day and a U-turn home.
When the Lot Fills (and How to Beat It)
- Arrive before 10:00 AM on weekends. On sunny Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays the lot reaches capacity by mid-morning and stays full into the afternoon.
- Weekdays are wide open. Outside of holidays, midweek visits rarely have parking trouble at any hour.
- Afternoon second wave. If you arrive to a full lot, early birds start leaving around 2:00 to 3:00 PM. The entrance line does move.
- Holiday weekends are the boss level. Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day: treat 9:00 AM as your deadline, not your goal.
If You'd Rather Skip Parking Entirely
